If you have received a CP567 notice from the IRS ITIN unit it means that:

- your ITIN rejected and you will need to apply again (full rejection)

- you may not be eligible for an ITIN

- you may need to supply the correct documentation as the documents supplied were not sufficient or invalid

- other reasons as detailed on the notice

It may be frustrating to receive a rejection notice. Just Breve sees this regularly, with some clients having tried multiple times and then given up on the process almost entirely.

Do I have to start again?

It depends on the reason for the rejection. If it was because the ID documents were not valid, Just Breve can assist as certifying acceptance agent but we will need to submit the full package again in full (we cannot just provide a certification). This means that yes, you will be starting again.
